PAUL McQUADE was the star-turn in Dundonald Bluebell’s emphatic 4-0 win away to Lochgelly Albert, writes our junior football correspondent.

The former Cowdenbeath and St Mirren striker scored one and set up two more to help his side reclaim second spot in the table.

He opened the scoring after 12 minutes, following in to net the rebound after a fine block by home keeper Colin Rushford.

It was from his cross eight minutes later that Derek Wallace bravely headed home the second.

McQuade p r ov e d pivotal, setting up the third goal which saw Craig Mor rison and Stuart Walton play a one-two from which the latter fired home the goal that sealed the three points.

Two minutes from time, Tommy Carr scrambled in a fourth for the visitors.

Rosyth were disappointed at letting a twogoal lead slip and ending up sharing the spoils with Tranent Park.

John McDiarmid scored only two minutes into his debut and Dean Ogg doubled Recs’ lead after 56 minutues.

However, within three minutes Steven Finlayson had pulled one back, and although he was sent off in the last minute, by then Ross Ferguson had scored the visitors’equaliser.

Crossgates’ visit to Whitburn ended up in an 8-2 thrashing by the Lothian side.

Although Alan Scott and Bryan King had given Whitburn a two- goal cushion, to their credit Primrose didn’t fold and within 10 minutes Stephen Stark was fouled in the box and Gavin McCann made no mistake from the spot.

Shortly afterwards the same player headed the visitors level.

But that was as good as it got for the Fifers who were comprehensively beaten thanks to further goals from Gary Brass, King, Jack Hamilton, Dewi Taylor and Scott who completed a hat-trick.
