Top titles and favourite books to be handed out as part of event

Book-lovers will have the chance to snap up free reading material as part of World Book Night, which takes place on Saturday.

Culture Perth and Kinross staff will be taking part in the annual celebration of reading and books and will be handing out titles from a list of big-name authors such as Matt Haig, Jonathan Coe and Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, as well as exciting new names like Holly Bourne and the debut novel by now-bestselling crime writer Sarah Hilary.

In conjunction with World Book Night, people are also encouraged to give their favourite book to someone in their community.
