McFadden out for three weeks

Leinster winger Fergus McFadden has been banned for three weeks for a high challenge on Edinburgh player Damien Hoyland.

He denied flooring the Murrayfield star in illegal fashion near the end of the Pro12 showdown in Dublin last week.

An all-Welsh disciplinary panel ruled McFadden, who was only booked, had thumped his opponent with a “reckless and dangerous” tackle which merited a red card.
