City’s semi with Real sold out
Manchester City announced last night that general tickets for next week’s Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid have sold out.
Only a limited number of hospitality tickets remain for the first leg of Tuesday’s tie at the Etihad Stadium.
City attracted criticism as tickets for their previous home game in the competition, against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, sold slowly.
But, despite complaints about prices from fans, that game did sell out with a new club European attendance record of 53,039 being set.
This time, with a discount scheme in operation for loyal supporters, tickets have been snapped up a week in advance with no general sale needed.
