Jean Law, 19-year-old St Andrews University arts student, of 5 Woodhall Road, Edinburgh, achieved her target of 10 and a half stone of coppers – her own weight. Jean remained in a cage in the middle of Market Street for a day and a half until the coppers were collected. She was released yesterday at 3.20pm by Miss Jenny Stoker, the charities princess. She said: “The 10 and a half stone has brought in £35 to the charities campaign. I’m taking the cage to Stirling tomorrow to try and raise another £35.”
