Bollan looking for Loons to bounce back

LEAGUE ONE: Forfar boss wants a return to earlier form

- CRAIG STEWART

Forfar manager Gary Bollan is looking for his side to start moving away from the nightmare scenario of finishing the season in bottom spot by winning at Albion Rovers today.

The Station Park side fell to the foot of the table last weekend when they went down 2-0 at home to Airdrie and Bollan wants an improvement in performance and position.

Bollan said: “Losing last Saturday has put ourselves in a hole but it is a hole that we can get out of if we get back to playing at the level we were at when the month started.

“Last weekend was a very disappointing performance. It was not like us at all and we played in a manner that was very different to how we have been going about things. It is important to bounce back and look after ourselves in the remaining two games.

“Albion Rovers away and Brechin City at home are our remaining games and they are winnable if we play like we can. If we win them both then our position will definitely change.”

Bollan added: “Albion Rovers are a very difficult outfit to break down especially at home. They have had a fantastic season and still have a chance of a promotion play-off place.

“They will be hoping that Brechin can do them a favour and beat Stranraer. We are hoping for the opposite and that Stranraer qualify for the play-offs by defeating Brechin.

“Whatever happens we have to look after ourselves and win this game.”

Kerr Hay’s sending off in an under-20 game last weekend was unsuccessful and Thomas O’Brien also misses out due to a ban.

Scott Martin and Andy Ryan return after missing out against the Diamonds due to suspension with Michael Travis out injured.
