Man behaved ‘inappropri­ately’

Police are keen to track down a topless man who behaved in an “inappropri­ate manner” in front of two young boys in Perth.

The incident took place around 2.30pm on Monday at Dunkeld Road, near to the junction of Florence Place.

The site is located near Perth Police HQ.

As well as attempting to trace the man, police state they need to speak to the two boys involved to shed further light on the incident.

A spokespers­on for Police Scotland’s Tayside Division said: “The man was seen to act inappropri­ately as two young boys aged around 10 or 11 years walked by at 2.30pm on Monday in Dunkeld Road, Perth.

“The boys did not acknowledg­e the man and continued on their way.

“Police need to trace the boys to establish what exactly has happened. However, there are no positive lines of inquiry.”

She added: “The man in question is described as being about 5ft 6in, aged around mid-fifties, with dark facial hair (stubble) and a heavy build. He had no top on and was wearing turquoise patterned shorts.

“The man had a strap over his chest area, possible from carrying a bag and was also wearing a light coloured baseball cap.”

Officers are keen to speak to the boys or any motorists who were passing by at this time.

Some Perth residents posted comments on social media yesterday about the incident.

Stephanie Pratt and Emma McKellar both shared their concerns by stating, “Keep an eye out,” on Facebook.
