Dog lovers stay in UK

An estimated 1.4 million people will stay in the UK for a holiday this year so they can take their dog with them, according to a new study.

It found that 8% of holidaymakers planning a domestic break in 2016 are doing so because they do not want to be away from their dog.

Scotland was the second biggest dog-loving region, with 10% opting to holiday in the UK.
