More expectation on Fifers now, warns boss

-

East Fife sit proudly at the top of Group A of the Betfred Cup, however player-manager Gary Naysmith is warning his men that it’s about to get more difficult.

Naysmith’s side picked up a bonus penalty shoot-out point against Dundee and then won 2-1 against Dumbarton in midweek, but the Bayview boss warned: “We need to play really well again to do anything against Peterhead. “We need to handle having a bit more expectation on us. “We have taken five points out of the six available from the top two teams in games where there was no pressure on us.

“Expectations have risen now and, because we are at home, more people will fancy us. We need to show that we can cope with that, but it will be tough as Peterhead are a decent team.

Scott Robinson misses out through suspension, with Tony Wallace and Chris Duggan injury doubts.
