Vote for industrial action

Workers at finance giant Prudential have voted to take industrial action in a row over offshoring of jobs.

Unite said members based in Reading had backed action by 97%, saying 81 jobs will be lost by switching work to India.

The workers voted not to cooperate with the transfer of work. Prudential has a major base at Stirling which is not involved in the current action.
