Crowley closes gap with brace

Jim Crowley made the most of the final day of Silvestre de Sousa’s latest enforced absence by cutting the gap on the champion jockey to four with a double at Yarmouth.

Crowley has whittled away at the leader as De Sousa sat out a four-day ban and took his tally to 70 with Kind Of Beauty (9-2) and Aflame (13-8 favourite).

De Sousa returns today at Lingfield and Kempton.
