brightsolid cements relationship with Dell
Data hosting and cloud computing provider brightsolid has achieved preferred partner status with American technology giant Dell.
The Dundee Technology Park headquartered group received its certification after achieving the technical and sales training standards required under Dell’s Partner Direct program.
The two companies have enjoyed a long association and Sarah Shields, director, UK Channel for Dell, said brightsolid’s new status would bring further benefits.
“We are excited to welcome brightsolid as a preferred partner. It’s investment in training will pay dividends for our customers and help our businesses grow and thrive,” she said.
“Dell-certified partners can grow their businesses significantly faster than those partners who are not certified – in some cases, by more than 30%.”
brightsolid is part of the DC Thomson & Co group of companies.
Chief executive Richard Higgs said the certification was a milestone moment.
“We have worked hard to achieve Dell Preferred Partner status, and this award particularly reflects brightsolid’s dedication to talent leadership development,” Mr Higgs said.
He said the firm was attracted to Dell’s model because there was no technology lock-in, closed systems and costs were transparent.
“Not all clouds are created equal and our customers have diverse requirements,” Mr Higgs said.
“Over the last couple of years we have worked really hard to refine our core product and service offerings into clear, bite-sized problem solvers, of which Dell technology is a key component.
“Our customers really like this approach because they can choose, with the help of our design team, what solution is right for their business.”
