Bullocks ave 212ppk, selling to 253p for CharolaisX from W Mitchell & Sons, Mid Craigton, Newton Mearns, and to £1,280 from J Gilvear & Sons, Graystale, Stirling.

Heifers ave 212p, selling to 239p for a Charolais from M&J Lamont, Shutterfla­t, Beith, and to £1,190 from W Oswald & Son, Broadleys, Stirling.

Black & White bullocks ave 152p, to 170p from Mershaugh Farms, Stranraer, and to £830 from the same home. Other leading prices were: Bullocks: £1,260 Lochend, £1,250 Graystale, £1,210 Lochend, Hill o’ Harthill & Ardgate.

Heifers: £1,090 Bowridge, £1,060 Eskechragg­an, £1,050 Shutterfla­t and Bowridge.

B&W: £750, £740 and £720 Merslaugh.

The sale was topped by Three Views, Gartocharn, for a pen of Texel lambs at £72.

Overall sale ave for 2,145 lambs was £58.28 (+£1.19 on week, +£12.65 on year.)

Leading averages: Suffolk £62.45 (+3p), Texel £59.63 (-£1.06), Mule £54.81 (-59p), BF £42.85 (-£6.50).
