START DAY WITH CUPPA Kinnoull Church Thursday Club is to hold a coffee morning tomorrow from 10am to 11.30am in Kinnoull Church Hall, Dundee Road, Perth. There will be the usual stalls and all welcome to attend.

SOUP LUNCH Perth Methodists are to hold a soup lunch at their Scott Street church tomorrow from 11.30am until 1.30pm. There will be home baking and books on sale and everyone is welcome to attend.

CARDS AND COFFEE A coffee morning will be held in the Luncarty Church Centre tomorrow from 10am to 11.30am. The £2.50 entry fee includes coffee/tea with a selection of scones, cakes and tray bakes.

In addition to the usual baking stall, there will be a large variety of hand-crafted cards for all occasions by Sheila Walker for sale.

SONGS OF PRAISE The 4th Company Boys Brigade are to hold a Songs of Praise Service in Moncreiffe Church, Glenbruar Crescent, Perth, on Sunday at 6.30pm in aid of company funds. The service is to be led by the 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys Brigade Brass Band. There will be a collection and refreshmen­ts at the end.

BLYTHSWOOD The Perth Support Group of the Blythswood Shoe Box Appeal has thanked everybody who helped to make their coffee morning a success, raising £570 for the appeal.

For anyone who would like to help the Christmas appeal, pre-wrapped shoe boxes are available for a donation, Monday to Friday, from North Church Office between 10am and midday or North Church open door café from 2pm to 4pm.

BIG SING IN KETTINS A Big Sing will be held in Kettins Church on Sunday. Entertainm­ent will be provided by Meigle Musicality, Gordon Pattullo, a Congregati­onal Choir and the local children.

Funds raised are in aid of projects supported by Kettins Ardler Guild, with some also going toward the new Kettins Parish Hall.

LEARN ABOUT COLLEGE Perth College UHI will be holding an open day on Wednesday October 12, between 2pm and 7pm.
