Would-be thief tried to snatch teenage girl’s mobile phone
Police in Perth are hunting a man who tried to steal a mobile phone from a 17-year-old girl.
The teenager was approached on a public footpath in Luncarty at around 11.45pm on Wednesday.
Detectives said the stranger started talking to his victim before he made an attempt to snatch away her phone.
The man is described as between 25 and 29 years old and was wearing a red hooded top and dark jeans.
The girl was shocked but unhurt, a police spokeswoman said. The incident happened near Sandeman Place.
