Primary pupils celebrate work of Perth poet William Soutar

The Friends of William Soutar Society held its fourth Bairnrhymes competition for primary schoolchildren in Perth in the poet’s house in the city’s Wilson Street.

The Bairnrhymes were written by Soutar in Scots and aimed at younger children.

Schools taking part this year included Balhousie, Craigie, Kinnoull, Moncreiffe, Oakbank and Viewlands and each pupil received a certificate.
