Muller to up milk price in November

Dairy farmers were given a welcome boost yesterday with news Muller is to increase its milk price again in November.

The company, which is the main milk buyer in the north and north-east, will increase its non-aligned milk price to 20.94p a litre on November 1.

Farmers on non-aligned contracts will also receive a retailer supplement of 2p a litre bringing their total price up to 23p a litre next month.
