Council playing role in fighting the scourge of cyber crime
The work being done by Perth and Kinross Council to combat cyber crime has been rewarded with a nomination in the Scottish Cyber Awards.
The council has been nominated in the Collaboration with Police Scotland category and will join fellow finalists at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Edinburgh, for the inaugural event on November 16.
Cyber crime continues to be a major concern in Scotland, costing an estimated £3bn every year.
Chief executive of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre Mandy Haeburn-Little, was delighted to have had such strong interest in the first year of the awards and said that Scotland was a leader in the field.
