New homes plan approved

A housing plan for 12 homes and garages at Tibbermore has been approved by councillors.

The application at Marlefield Grove is in a rural location but to the rear of existing housing.

The application had been previously refused on various grounds, including overdevelopment, but an appeal against refusal was upheld by a reporter from the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA).

Councillors were told that the layout had been revised and was no longer so regimented, with a more random appearance more reflective of the existing housing in the area.
