Perth man assaulted women at bus stop in row over loud music
A Perth man viciously assaulted two women at a bus stop in a row over the playing of loud music.
John Thom lashed out after being told to keep the noise down by a neighbour as they passed in the street.
Perth Sheriff Court heard Thom kicked the 40-year-old in the stomach and on the arm.
When the woman’s 32-year-old friend attempted to intervene, she was punched so hard she suffered a fractured cheekbone.
The pair fled to the safety of a nearby Asda supermarket where they called the police.
Thom, 31, now of Skinnergate House, admitted attacking the two women on Crieff Road on June 26 last year and was ordered to pay his second victim £750 compensation.
