New markings aim to improve traffic flow at busy junction
New road markings aimed at freeing up the traffic flow are to be installed at a busy junction in Perth.
Following the intervention of councillors John Flynn and Dave Doogan, it was agreed that the new markings would go in on Riggs Road and Jeanfield Road, where the two thoroughfares meet.
The marking will delineate lanes for people turning, hopefully ensuring that the way forward is not blocked by some motorists as has been the case in the past.
The work is scheduled to take place on Monday, weather permitting, and should be completed within a day.
“It will be a big improvement. It should speed the traffic up at busy times,” Mr Flynn said.
