Bleachers boss Kelly has Scottish gameplan

Scottish Junior Cup fifth round

Luncarty would have preferred to have taken on junior heavyweights Auchinleck Talbot at home in the Scottish Cup fifth round – but manager Jonny Kelly insists they have a gameplan.

“We will certainly go down there with a plan. We have had them watched on two occasions and I have watched video footage so we have an idea of what to expect,” he explained.

“We will make sure that the players believe that they can take something from the game. I am hopeful that my senior players, who have played in big games, can pass on their experience and help the younger players.”

Duncan Bruce is the only doubt and he will be having treatment right up to kickoff and Kelly has his fingers crossed that his experienced keeper is able to play.

Kelty Hearts player manager will be delighted to have Stephen Husband available for this weekend’s cup tie with Kilwinning Rangers at New Central Park.

The former Dunfermline and Forfar midfielder was sent off early in last weekend’s win at Camelon but his red card was reduced to a yellow at an appeal on Tuesday night.

Courts is likely to keep a very similar side to the one that was on duty at Carmuirs Park.

G A Engineering Cup 3rd Round

Kirrie Thistle manager Jim Finlayson is looking forward to getting his side back in competitive action as his side face Newburgh Thistle in the GA Engineering Cup.

This will be the second time the sides have attempted to play the tie, the first being postponed a couple of weeks ago.

Last week’s league game at home to Arbroath Vics fell foul of the weather but the plus side of that is that it has helped clear up a couple of injury niggles in the squad.

DJ Laing East of Scotland Cup 2nd Round

Drainage issues at Gardiners Park mean that the clash between Lochgelly and Broughty Athletic has had to be switched to Whitton Park, but Albert manager Craig Ness is still confident that his side can heap the pressure on Broughty Athletic.

Albert have been doing well and still have dreams of forcing themselves into the promotion fight, while Broughty’s problems are well documented and are on a horrendous run in the League.

Going in to the game they have several injury worries with Jamie Winter and Brian Clark almost certainly out and others with niggles.

Ness said: “We are looking forward to testing ourselves against a very good Super league side. After last week’s impressive friendly win over Hill of Beath, we are going in to the game confident of causing an upset.

Conservatory Converters Fife & Lothians Cup 3rd Round

Dundonald Bluebell welcome Musselburgh Athletic to Moorside Park for their Fife & Lothians Cup tie this weekend as both side take a break from Super League business.

The Fife side go in to the game in a confident mood but only have 13 players available due to Craig Wedderburn, Barry Sibanda and Sam Buchan all being cup-tied with Ricky Patrick suspended.

Musselburgh will be hoping that they can put behind them the disappointment of last weekend’s Scottish Cup exit against Kirkintilloch.
