Kelty’s focus returns to league title push following cup exit

-

Rocked by last week’s Scottish Cup exit at Kilwinning’s hands, Kelty Hearts wrapping up the Super League is the focus of Tam Courts’ side.

They are 23 points clear of second-placed Bo’ness and 26 ahead of Bonnyrigg Rose although Robbie Horn’s side have seven games in hand.

But it boils down to Kelty needing seven wins from their remaining nine games starting with the visit of relegation-threatened Jeanfield Swifts.

Kelty are without Brian Ritchie who begins a two-match suspension.

Meanwhile, Swifts expect Steve McManus and Jack Parr to return from injury, but Daniel Kelly, Chris Anton and Scott Sutherland are all missing.

Carnoustie Panmure will be looking to continue their fine run of form when Dundonald check in at Laing Park.

Alan McSkimming added midfielder Murray MacKintosh on loan from Forfar Athletic prior to the win at Linlithgow Rose and he is expected to make his home debut.

Roddy Black, John Roberts and Ryan Roche are all out but Michael McIlravey is expected to make the bench.

Bluebell welcome back Barry Sibanda, Sam Buchan and Craig Wedderburn – all cup-tied for last week’s defeat to Musselburgh – but Ricky Patrick is still suspended.

Lochee United will be looking to build on last weekend’s 4-0 home win at home to Camelon when they head to Hill of Beath.

Paddy Deane will miss the meeting with a Haws side buoyed by last week’s win at Newtongrange.

Without a league win since the first week of October, Broughty Athletic are desperate to get that monkey off their back at home to Bo’ness United.

But it will be a tall order against the in-form visitors who have hit 12 goals in their last two outings and this week added defender Ali El Zubaidi from Cowdenbeath.

The Fed’s hopes aren’t helped by Jamie Winter, Brian Clark and Jake Mair all being out through injury.
