AMULREE. Anna Gurung from the charity Bring Back The Smile To Nepal gave a talk on the devastatio­n caused by the earthquake­s of 2015. Competitio­ns: red lentil dhal – 1 H Gamble, 2 L McMahon; knitted scarf – S Fotheringh­am.

BLAIRADAM. President Rena Beveridge welcomed visitors and members. Entertainm­ent took the form of four different stations, with a floral art demonstrat­ion led by Kate Rettie, the second a baking demonstrat­ion led by Betty Petrie, the third station, led by Ann Mitchell, was based on bottle top craft and a technique known as inches and the final station was led by Mrs Ruby Hughes who showed how to make yo-yos. Competitio­ns: Valentine (any craft) – 1 S Johnston, 2 D Cuthbert; Valentine (any food) – M Adams. BURRELTON and WOODSIDE. President Irene Smith welcomed all to the meeting and introduced Meg Lucken who spoke about the splendour of Vienna. Competitio­ns: handmade Valentine card – 1 S Urie, 2 C Pickthall, 3 A Robertson and J Robertson; homemade sweets – 1 J Robertson, 2 S Urie, 3 M Gordon; flower of the month – S Urie. BUTTERSTON­E. Members watched a demonstrat­ion of wool felting by Ursula Stewart, chairman of Perth and Kinross Federation. She explained how to arrange tufts of wool in many directions and then work them. Competitio­n: favourite woollen item – 1 A Marshall, 2 M Abbott, 3 S Bruges.

CARNBO. President Jay Hutchison welcomed Mr W Shand who gave a talk titled Practical Tips To Improve Your Photograph­y Skills. Competitio­ns: flower of the month – S Turnbull; a photograph of a winter scene – L Band.

CLEISH. President Helen Buchanan welcomed members and introduced Michael Bryant who spoke about Sainsbury’s. Competitio­ns: Valentine verse – 1 S Pennell, 2 A Morris, 3 L Glennie; favourite brooch – 1 S Webster, 2 S Pennell, 3 J Craig; flower of the month (bowl of bulbs) – 1 D Morris, 2 A Thomson, 3 E Craig.

COMRIE. President Joyce Carnegie welcomed members and introduced John and Maddy King who gave an insight into the life of their sonin-law, Tim Peake, the astronaut. Competitio­ns: star-shaped biscuits – 1 H Kelly, 2 J Carnegie, 3 W Henry; decorated heart shape – 1 M Gregory, 2 W Henry, 3 M Philp.
