AUCHTERARD­ER: The Friends of Aytoun Hall in Auchterard­er are holding a coffee morning next Saturday from 10am to 12pm to raise funds for equipment and the upkeep of the hall. LUNCARTY: The Luncarty lunch club will be held in Luncarty Church Centre at 11am on Monday.

Sarah Wilcock from the family history and local archive will give a talk on the Luncarty area. DAY OF PRAYER: The World Day of Prayer will hold its annual services tomorrow in two Perth churches.

St Matthew’s Church, Tay Street, has a service at 11am and the Congregati­onal Church, Kinnoull Street, has a service at 7pm. This service is held throughout the world and translated into 1,000 different languages, starting at sunrise over the island of Tuvalu and continuing until sunset in Alaska. PERTH: Perth Methodists hold a coffee morning at Scott Street on Saturday from 10 to 11.30am followed by a soup lunch.

On Tuesday knit and natter, an informal afternoon of coffee, cake and chat, is held from 2pm to 4pm. ST MADOES: A coffee morning in St Madoes Community Centre on Saturday from 10am to 12pm will raise funds for the Madoch Centre. All donations of baking, books, CDs and DVDs will be gratefully received. INNER LINK: President Kaye welcomed 68 members and one guest to a recent meeting of the Inner Link Club of Perth.

The meeting heard that a former president of the club, Isobel Oliver, had died and her funeral had already taken place.

The speaker was Margaret Lumsden from the Marie Stuart Society, who gave a talk on the life of Mary, Queen of Scots. The next meeting will be on March 15. HERITAGE: Historic Environmen­t Scotland (HES) is seeking the views of Perth residents to answer the question, What’s Your Heritage?

The event will take place today, from 6.30pm to 8pm, at the AK Bell Library and is free.
