Unbeaten runs on line at Whitton Park

-

Broughty Athletic go into this weekend’s clash at home to Dundonald Bluebell with only one defeat in five games – although only two of those games have been in the league.

Dundonald, meanwhile, are unbeaten in six league games and will be confident of taking all three points from the visit to Whitton Park.

Broughty manager Keith Gibson has major doubts over Ryan Suttie and Ross McCord, although Brian Clark has returned to training and may make the bench.

The visitors are without the suspended Callum Rarity, while Paul Quinn and Callum Young are injured.

Carnoustie Panmure face the first of two big league games as they welcome Fauldhouse United at Laing Park.

The last time the sides clashed was the start of Carnoustie’s great run that has seen Alan McSkimming’s side lose just three times in 17 games.

For Fauldhouse it’s been a different story with just two wins in 10 league games.

McSkimming is able to welcome back Jamie McCabe to the squad that lost at Tayport last weekend but Ewan Buggins is on holiday.

Kick-off at Laing Park is slightly earlier at 2pm.

With games in hand, Lochee United should have enough to stay well clear of the fight at the bottom but three points today at home to Musselburgh will come in handy for the Thomson Park club.

The only absentee for George Shields’ side is long-term casualty Connor Birse, otherwise he has a full squad.

Jeanfield Swifts are another team with games in hand but they are a lot deeper in trouble. Ross Gunnion’s side are in the relegation play-off place at present and lost at Hill of Beath last weekend.

Gunnion is without Mark Duigan but is able to welcome back Lewis Baker and Sean Fleming for their big game at fourth-placed Penicuik Athletic.
