Blair looking for big finish after promotion hopes fade

-

Blairgowrie have added the experienced Gordon Norrie to their squad ahead of the visit of Luncarty to Davie Park.

A run of injuries and poor results has seen Blair fall away from the promotion race but Billy McKay will be wanting his side to finish well.

Luncarty have had an up and down season, the highlight being the Scottish Junior Cup tie with Auchinleck Talbot. Luncarty boss Jonny Kelly has a full squad available.

Ross Lunan will be hoping his North End side can make it three wins from three games since he took charge as they travel to take on Brechin Vics.

North End have a full squad available, while Vics are without Keir Hendry.

Coupar Angus and East Craigie meet at Foxhall Park with the visitors desperate to preserve their record of just one defeat in the last 10 games.

Logan McConachie will be hoping his side can replicate last week’s performance that saw them beat Arbroath Vics 4-0. McConachie is without Jake Tulloch through injury, while East Craigie take a full squad to Angus.

Arguably the match of the day in the North League is at Tulloch Park, where Kinnoull host Scone Thistle.

Both sides still have hopes of promotion but defeat will probably rule either out of the race.

Scone boss Derek Lawson goes into the game without Fraser Mills and Kevin Sinclair but is able to welcome back Abi Njie and Garry Fergus.

The home side have doubts over Mark McDonald, Liam Wooley, Robbie Norton and Allan Ferguson but still hope to have a squad of 16 or 17 players.

Lochee Harp face bottom club Forfar Albion at Beechwood but boss Michael Gormley has a major problem with Mark Kelly, Derryn Kesson and Connaire Connelly suspended and Joe Colquhoun, Darryl Gowans and Gordon Ramsay all injured.

Graham Allan may join the injury list if he fails a fitness test. A slight positive is that Gormley hopes to be able to add Sam McDonald to his squad.

Lochore Welfare finally got the luck they deserved as they beat Brechin Vics last weekend and this week they face a totally different task as they welcome promotion favourites Kirrie Thistle.

Kirriemuir are expected to win comfortably and take a full squad through for the game.

Newburgh are still looking for their first win since Christmas as they travel to second-placed Thornton Hibs.

Burgh hope to be able to add a new name to their squad in time for the game but otherwise it will be the same as was on duty at home to East Craigie.

Craig Gilbert’s Thornton have been flying in training and he has a full complement of players available as they continue their push for promotion.

North Region side Montrose Roselea face Hall Russell United at home in a friendly as they are without a competitive game. Spey Valley United need just a point from their trip to Newmachar United to pip Roselea to the league title.
