Six charged over £150,000 drugs raid

Six people appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday charged in connection with a raid which recovered an estimated £150,000 worth of drugs.

Two women and four men appeared in private before the court in connection with a major drugs find after officers from Police Scotland raided several properties across the city.

Patricia Leona Anderson, 29, made no plea and no declaratio­n to two charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Theresa Decruz, 58, made no plea and no declaratio­n to one charge under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Both women, who gave addresses in Dundee, were committed for further examinatio­n and released on bail.

Kurt Decruz, 27, made no plea and no declaratio­n to three charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Gilbert Maclellan, 58, made no plea and no declaratio­n to three charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Darren Ronnie McKelvie, 26, made no plea and no declaratio­n to three charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Jeffrey Rowe-Carlisle, 54, made no plea and no declaratio­n to one charge under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

All four men, who also gave addresses in Dundee, were committed for further examinatio­n and were released on bail.

Police Scotland have made a concerted effort to reduce drug-related crime in Dundee, after receiving feedback from members of the community.

Inspector Peter McLennan, of Dundee Local Policing Area, said: “You have told us that drug-related crime is a concern, we are listening and we are focused on disrupting criminalit­y, reducing the harm it causes and arresting those concerned in the supply of drugs.
