BOWLING CLUB: The North Inch Bowling and Sports Club is holding an open day today from 1.30pm.

Councillor Archie McLellan will throw the first season jack at 1.45pm.

TOWN HALL SHOW: Entertaine­r Eddie Rose will be among the acts in a show being staged at Pitlochry Town Hall today.

Also on stage, from 8pm, will be the Brandon McPhee Trio.

FAMILY HISTORY: North Perthshire Family History Group’s next meeting is on Thursday in Moulin Hall at 2.30pm when one of their own members, Dr Loretta Davis-Reynolds, will be the speaker.

She has been researchin­g the history of her house and the title is Laidneskea – Past to Present.

Dr Davis-Reynolds will cover the history of the locality and a home that was formerly a farm on the estate of Grandtully Castle.

RDMI MEETING: The AGM of the Robert Douglas Memorial Institute management committee will be held in the institute on Thursday at 7pm.

All are welcome.

BINGO TEA: A bingo tea is being held in the Robert Douglas Memorial Institute, Abbey Road, Scone, in aid of institute funds next Friday at 7.30pm.

WOODLAND FOCUS: The next meeting of Perth Inner Link Club will be on April 26 when the subject will be the work of the Woodland Trust.

The latest meeting saw members enjoy a talk by Chris and Lynn Willsher who led them on a journey through the Arctic in search of polar bears.

NHS FELLOWSHIP: The National Health Service Retirement Fellowship AGM will be held in the Civil Service Club at 11 St Leonards Bank in Perth on Monday April 24.
