Killer jailed once more for another attack on woman
A convicted killer jailed last year for attacking his partner has been found guilty of assaulting and abducting the same woman weeks after being given early release.
The woman was knocked unconscious by Felix McDonald and detained against her will during the incident in Lochgelly.
Neighbours heard her shouting at a window. Photographs of her taken afterwards showed injuries including a black eye and bruised chin.
McDonald, 38, a prisoner at Perth, denied assaulting the woman on December 2 at North Street, Lochgelly.
A jury found McDonald “guilty under provocation” after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Last week at the High Court in Edinburgh, McDonald had the 129-day unexpired part of the previous jail term reimposed.
When McDonald returned to court in Dunfermline, he was jailed for 25 months to follow the High Court term.
At the High Court in Livingston last August, McDonald was jailed for 21 months but this was backdated to 2015 and he was released in October.
McDonald’s previous convictions include being jailed for culpable homicide in 2006.
