Dundee promoters Make That A Take present a night of the finest melodic indie punk, in support of Dundee Foodbank, at Conroy’s Basement tomorrow night.
The night features headliners, American collective Airstream Futures, who are on their first UK tour.
Also on the bill are Forever Unclean from Denmark, providing rad super-rapid upbeat melodic power-pop.
Dundee dream-pop-punks Terrafraid are also releasing their new album with this home-town show.
Contentment is packed with soaring melodies, skyscraping harmonies, strong emotions and danceable shoegaze bangers by the bucketload.
Completing the line-up are Edinburgh’s hardcore punks Elk Gang and Goodbye Blue Monday, Bird Law from Aberdeen, Perth’s John Wheels and Dundee’s The Ground We Tread, who have just released their debut EP, To All That Was.

Cherry Bombz take their pop punk covers to the Station Bar in Arbroath tomorrow at 9.30pm.
On Sunday it’s an afternoon show at the Neptune Bar in Montrose from 3pm. Bedrock are at McDaniels tonight from 9.30pm. Tomorrow it’s Hustler at 10pm.
Inchyra Arts Club has one of Scotland’s most recent success stories, Hunter and the Bear, at the Glencarse venue on Sunday (see What’s On feature).
Then on Wednesday, music’s smiliest troubadour Martin Stephenson brings his hugely entertaining band The Daintees to the same venue.

UK country singersongwriter Ags Connolly is there on Sunday, tickets are £15 and the music for both start at 8pm.

Ken Swift joins Neil Clark and Dyte at the Reading Rooms tonight to bring the finest underground house and techno cuts all night long.
Tomorrow sees the return of Jute City Jam with resident DJs Max Galloway, Calvin Crichton and Ronan Baxter joined by Liam James AKA Ansata, who has been making waves locally with releases on the fresh new Dundee label Hilltown Disco. Gates open at 10.30pm and entry is £5 before midnight, £7 after.
Rooms Thursdays sees the last Ethos before the summer break and it’s a Hilltown Disco showcase.
Residents Matt and Spam have invited along label mates Shmitt, Ben Rothes and Declan Whyte to give the small town crowd a taste of what Hilltown Disco is all about. Entry is £3.50 before midnight, £5 after and doors open at 10.30pm.

One of Scotland’s most prolific songwriters James Grant is at Pre-Production on Thursday.
James first came to international attention as the lead vocalist in Love and Money, writing four classic albums for the band and performing and touring with artists such as U2, Nanci Griffiths, Tina Turner and BB King.
