Make the most of the summer and learn

Summer is just around the corner and for those of us lucky enough to have some free time on our hands it can be a great time to try something new.

All over Courier Country there are wonderful opportunities available for learning a new skill or refreshing some hidden talents.

Many of our higher education establishments take the opportunity of offering an intensified adult learning programme while they are quieter over the summer months.

If you have a holiday abroad planned in the late summer or autumn, now is the time to brush up on those language skills.

Whether you are heading to sunny Spain, France or even further afield, there is an amazing range of language classes on offer and you are sure to be a hit with the locals if you make an effort by learning at least the basics.

If you are artistic, or love the idea of developing your creative side, you will find workshops, courses and classes on everything from printing to life drawing, painting and pottery.

There are plenty of opportunities to get out there and do something sporty too – why not consider taking up a new sport or taking a course of lessons in a one that you are already familiar with.

Whatever you decide to do, there are a whole host of opportunities out there to try so get out and enjoy yourself.
