MUSIC FOR A SUMMER’S EVENING: A concert is being held at Kinnoull Parish Church, Dundee Road, Perth, on Friday at 7.30pm.

It will feature Bill Chalmers and David Griffiths on swing piano and light-hearted organ music.

Tickets, priced £5 for adults and free for children, are available at the door.

BLYTHSWOOD COLLECTION LORRY: The collection lorry will be in the Asda car park next Tuesday, from 11.30am to 1.30pm when donations of clothes, shoes, books, toys, blankets, bric-abrac and small items of furniture will be welcome.

Anyone donating soft furnishing­s should note they must have a BS7177 fire label attached. The schedule with the collection dates for the remainder of the year will be available at the lorry.

BALBEGGIE: An animal welfare sale in aid of cats and other animals in need will be held on Friday from 10am to 4pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 12pm, in St Martin’s Public Hall, Balbeggie.

Bric-a-brac, good as new, books, CDs, toys, jewellery and plants will be on sale.

There will also be a tombola and raffle, and the local Brownies will have a stall.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB OF ST JOHN’S: The Fellowship Club of St John’s Kirk of Perth is holding a coffee morning in the church on Saturday, from 10am until 11.30am.

Tickets, priced £2.50, will be available at the door.

ABERFELDY: Acclaimed North Carolina folkAmeric­ana trio Underhill Rose will play the Weem Inn, Aberfeldy, on Tuesday June 13.

ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION: Artists are holding an art and craft exhibition at St Martins Old Parish Church, Scone, next Friday and Saturday from 10.30am until 4pm.

It will also take place next Sunday from 12pm until 4pm.

Proceeds raised will go to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.
