Vacancy on renewables panel

-

A committee that decides how to spend money raised by a local windfarm is looking for a new member.

A vacancy has arisen for people living in the Earn area to serve on Innogy Renewables UK (Ltd) Lochelbank Community Fund Panel, which exists to benefit the Earn and Glenfarg community council areas.

It is an opportunity to help ensure the fund continues to be spent on projects that provide benefits to those communities.

The panel meets three times a year to advise the fund administrator, Foundation Scotland, on grants awards from the fund. Every three years the panel also conducts a review of the fund, including its grant-making strategy.

In total, the panel is made up of three members from each of the two community council areas.

To put yourself forward for this role, please download a nomination form from the Foundation Scotland website www.foundationscotland.org. uk/communities/funds/ lochelbank-fund-news/ or you can request one by emailing Tom Black at tom@foundationscotland.org.uk.

Nominees must be 18 or over and on the electoral roll for the Earn Community Council area. In the event of more nominations being received than there are vacancies available, selection will be by interview.

Nomination forms must be completed and returned to Foundation Scotland by 5pm on July 7.
