Cummings’ £1m switch to Forest will boost Hearts
Jason Cummings’ £1 million switch from Hibs to Nottingham Forest will see Hearts land a fivefigure payout.
Under Fifa regulations, the clubs who played a part in a player’s development are due a ‘solidarity payment’ from any transfer fee.
Cummings was on the books of the Jambos between the ages of 11 and 16, meaning Hearts are due 1% of the sum paid to the Hibees.
It has been widely reported that Mark Warburton has shelled out £1m for the prolific front-man, meaning their city rivals will bank £10,000.
Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale will also make £5,000 due to the one goal-laden season he spent with Hutchie in 2012/13 following his release by the Tynecastle outfit.
Cummings ultimately joined Hibs in the summer of 2013 went on to bag 69 goals in 148 games.
