Police appeal after tools, fencing and mountain bikes stolen

Police are appealing for informatio­n after thieves broke into Saltire House in Whitefriar­s Street, Perth, and stole a large quantity of work tools.

The incident took place between June 15 and 16.

Meanwhile, vandals broke into Wickes building supplies, St Catherine’s Retail Park, Perth, overnight June 18/19 and stole a quantity of fencing.

Elsewhere, a large fence near Star Inn Farm, Invergowri­e, was daubed with graffiti on June 14.

And officers are trying to trace vandals who spray painted graffiti on the Jeanfield Swifts stadium at Bute Drive, Perth, on June 15.

Thieves stole a flood-light generator from roadworks which had taken place on the M90 near Kinross, between 3pm and 3.45pm, on June 17.

Police are also appealing for informatio­n after bogus workmen conned a resident in Cavendish Avenue, Perth, by falsely stating they would carry out garden work. The criminals managed to steal property from within the house.

Meanwhile, thieves stole a white mountain bike from a common close at Low Street, Perth, between June 14 and 16.

A black and white mountain bike and a Raleigh ladies mountain bike were both stolen from a communal close at St Catherine’s Road, Perth, on June 18.

Another mountain bike was stolen from the rear of a property in Tay Street, Perth, between 5.30pm and 7pm, on June 20.

And a Volvo car, which had been parked in Muirhall Terrace, Perth, had its paintwork damaged, between June 12 and 15.
