City reaps benefits from visitors following Top Gear team’s lead

-

A Perth business is enjoying an unexpected boost from a scenic road route in the north of Scotland.

Noah’s Ark Caravan Park management team Jim and Carol Miller have been astonished by the surge in business generated for the city by continental visitors determined to follow in the tracks of Jeremy Clarkson and the Top Gear team in tackling the North Coast 500 loop from Inverness. “There are huge numbers of French stopping off and we had 22 Dutch coming in out of the blue one day this week,” said Mr Miller, who hadn’t anticipated it would impact on their visitor numbers.

“We are also seeing German and English tourists wanting to complete all, or at least the more accessible parts, of the NC500.”
