Remake Scotland was awarded £9,950 to establish an employment training programme for young people, while a £9,480 grant will support the second Kids’ Week in Crieff.

It will boast a gala day and a wealth of daily activities including dance, music and fitness workshops, creative sessions and games.

The organisers of Portmoak Gala will purchase two new marquees with their £5,110 grant, while Dunbarney School and Abernethy Primary will use their £6,899 and £5,380 awards to enhance their playgrounds.

Perthshire South and Kinross-shire MSP Roseanna Cunningham said: “I am delighted that such a large number of organisations from this area have been successful in applying for Awards for All Scotland grants.

“The organisations involved and the projects supported show the range and diversity of the community effort which makes the communities such vibrant places to live.”

Awards For All Scotland provides grants of between £500 and £10,000 for projects that aim to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need.
