Police appeal after vandals tamper with power supply

Police are appealing for informatio­n after the electrical power supply in Forteviot was tampered with.

The incident took place around 4pm on Monday and resulted in the temporary loss of power to some residents.

Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a 13-plate black Audi A3 car that was seen in the area at the time.

Meanwhile, vandals smashed two windows at St Paul’s Church in Perth between 4.30pm on Monday and 10.30am on Tuesday.

A glass pane on the doorway of a house in Brahan Terrace, Perth, was also smashed around 4pm on July 2. Police say a group of teenage boys were seen running from the scene at the time.

Elsewhere, a ‘sneak-in’ thief entered a flat in Logie Crescent, Perth, while the occupier was asleep on July 2 and stole a quantity of money.

Thieves also gained access to a BT hatch at Drumtogle Farm, Blackford, on June 25 to cut and then remove a large quantity of cables.

Officers are also appealing for informatio­n after a flat in Perth’s Firbank Road was broken into between June 29 and July 3. Thieves took a quantity of electrical items

Between June 23 and 27, a double-glazed window was smashed at a property in Tweedsmuir Road, Perth.

And a caravan at Double Dykes Caravan Park, located on the outskirts of Perth, was broken into between June 22 and 29.

Finally, criminals stole the cash box on a car wash at the Asda supermarke­t in Dunkeld Road, Perth, on June 28.
