BLYTHSWOOD: The Blythswood collection truck will be in Asda car park tomorrow from 11.30am to 1.30pm when donations of clothes, shoes, books, toys, blankets, bric-a-brac and small items of furniture will be accepted.

Soft furnishing must have a BS7177 fire label attached.

Blythswood cannot accept prams, pushchairs, highchairs, car seats, bikes, carpets, duvets, coat hangers, gas appliances, television­s, computer monitors, exercise equipment, wall units, electrical items and video cassettes. The club joined the programme two years ago.

The club has been a means for local women, most of whom haven’t played since school, to get back into netball and team sport. HIGHLAND GAMES Kirkcaldy Beach Highland Games are to be held in September, after heavy rain saw them called off in June.

Organisers Kirkcaldy4­All reluctantl­y scrapped the event due to the poor weather.

Spectators will be able to watch competitio­ns on the sands on September 23.
