Stoneywood Dyce in commanding form

-

With Shaun Coetzer slamming a half-century and Jack Mitchell reaching 43, Stoneywood Dyce posted 229-9 at Peoples Park.

Forfarshire II survived for less than 27 overs, with Craig McConnachie hitting 30. Jamie King was five for 22. Gordonians’ match at Lochlands against Arbroath United was cancelled.

Perth Doo’cot suffered the same fate against Strathmore when rain made play impossible after 10 overs.

At Mannofield spectators were treated to almost 500 runs as Meigle set the home side a target of 282 for the loss of five wickets, with Matt Turner blasting 101 before being run out.

He was ably backed up by Nigel Wimberley’s 66 and 52 from Peter Drummond.

Andrew Russell hit 62. No one else from the home side was able to get on top of the Meigle attack, with Farmer rounding off a fine afternoon at four for 30.

At Dalnacraig, Dundee picked up their fifth win of the league campaign, which saw them leapfrog Perth Doo’cot into fifth. Kinloch’s miserable season continued as they could muster only 107, 42 of which came from Haseeb Kiyani.

Angus Lindsay and Darren Milne collected a couple of wickets each.

It looked as though Dundee might be in a spot of bother at 25-3.

However, Balaji Ramali and Blake Newport with 41 and 38 respectively steadied things and Dundee got the total needed with only five wickets going down.
