Violet maintain perfect record with derby win

-

VIOLET won the Dundee derby at North End to maintain their 100% start and continue the

DOKENS’ disappointing run. Goals from Steve Harris, Craig Batchelor and Gavin Thomson gave the Pansies a three-goal lead before Kieran Sturrock and Nathan Scott scored for the hosts.

A Liam McCartney hat-trick gave EAST CRAIGIE their third straight win, a 3-2 victory at NEWBURGH. Sub Glenn Lumsden pulled one back for the Burgh, whose other scorer was Jack Saunders.

ARBROATH VICS are the other side with nine points after a 3-1 win at LOCHORE WELFARE.

Ben Rowland’s own goal on 17 minutes gave Vics the lead. A James Adam spot-kick for the hosts was saved on 32 minutes.

Craig Watson doubled the lead. Kearyn Hicks pulled one back, but Rikki Gillespie converted a stoppage-time penalty for the visitors’ third.

Cameron Ogg’s strike seven minutes from time earned

KINNOULL a point at home to 10-man SCONE THISTLE after Stephen Moon’s dismissal. That cancelled out Craig Mitchell’s opener.
