President Ann Falconer introduced bee keeper Bill Duff who gave a talk about bees and how honey is made. DISTRICT. President Jean Rogers welcomed members and visitors. Business was conducted and cups handed to members for points earned in the West Fife show. ST CYRUS. President Elizabeth Alexander welcomed middle distance runner Myles Edwards who set up the Gathimba Edwards Foundation with fellow Kenyan athlete Gideon Gathimba. STAR. Members enjoyed a day trip to the People’s Palace in Glasgow followed by high tea at Kinghorn. On September 3, together with members from Lomond Group institutes, the group marked 100 years of SWRI with high tea at Freuchie. STRACATHRO. Anne Leiper presided and welcomed Sharon Greasley who demonstrat­ed floral arrangemen­ts. Hostess for the evening was Jeannie Soutar.
