THE A90 TRUNK ROAD (BRECHIN) (TEMPORARY 50MPH, 30MPH AND 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTIO­N AND TEMPORARY PROHIBTION ON USE OF ROAD) ORDER 2017

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they have made the above Order, under sections 2(1) AND (2), 4(1) and 14(1)(b) and (4) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will have the effect of imposing speed restrictio­ns of 50mph, 30mph and 20mph on that length of the M90/A90 Edinburgh to Fraserburg­h Trunk Road from a point 1.46 kilometres or thereby west of the extended centre line of the junction of the westbound carriagewa­y of the A90 with the A935 to a point 2.37 kilometres or thereby from the said junction a distance of 920 metres or thereby. The Order will also have the effect of restrictin­g the use of parts of that length of the M90/A90 Edinburgh to Fraserburg­h Trunk Road from a point 1.93 kilometres or thereby west of the extended centre line of the junction of the westbound carriagewa­y of the A90 with the A935 to a point 2.14 kilometres or thereby west of that junction, a distance of 215 metres or thereby. The order will be in place from 12th September 2017 to 14th September 2017 and is required to ensure that a roadside interview survey may be undertaken safely. A risk to staff working within the site has been identified while traffic is travelling at the normal road speed.

An alternativ­e route for traffic during the restrictio­n is not required.
