Tup sales show an increase but mixed picture for averages
Caledonian Marts Ltd, Stirling, yesterday sold 291 tups with a 77% clearance rate and 39 more tups sold compared to last year.
Texel Shearlings averaged £400, -£30 on the year.
Texel ram lambs averaged £234, +£3 on the year.
Bluefaced Leicester shearlings averaged £490, -£68 on the year.
Bluefaced Leicester ram lambs averaged £300, +£74 on the year.
Suffolk shearlings averaged £330, +£2 on the year.
