Holiday fun for local children

A host of activities will be available to children during the October holidays.

Services will operate at kids’ clubs at Oakbank, Blairgowrie and Milnathort primary schools, as well as wraparound services at Inchview in Perth, Luncarty and St Dominic’s in Crieff.

Pre-school age children can use the three wraparound services whether they attend the nurseries at the schools or not.

Kids’ clubs also offer childcare after school, on in-service days and during holidays for P1 to S2 children.

A spokeswoman for Perth and Kinross Council said: “Kids’ clubs and wraparound care services operate a flexible booking scheme, where children can attend for activities on specific days or for flexible childcare over the holiday fortnight.”

Daily fees are charged in three categories – up to five hours, up to seven hours or over seven hours. An annual registration fee is also payable, allowing access to any kids’ club or wraparound care service.

The spokeswoman continued: “Programmes include some of our regular activities such as den building and art and craft workshops, as well as planned trips and outings.”
