The holder of a winning lottery ticket worth £1 million has less than 24 hours to make their claim before it expires.

The EuroMillions ticket, which was bought in Dundee for the draw on Tuesday March 28, has the UK Millionaire Maker code XRVT 79106, to bag the holder a cool £1 million and an “ultimate luxury safari”.

The winner has until tomorrow to claim the life-changing sum.

Andy Carter, senior winners adviser at The National Lottery, said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the very last minute to claim the money.

“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets one final time or look anywhere a missing EuroMillions ticket could be hiding.

“This life-changing prize could really help to make dreams become a reality for someone out there.”

If the prize money remains unclaimed tomorrow the £1m will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

In the Dundee area alone nearly 1,200 National Lottery grants have been awarded to help projects across the arts, sports, heritage, health, education, environment, charity and voluntary sectors.

Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any National Lottery draw within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0844 338 7551 or email help@nationallottery.co.uk.
