Pearson teams up with his former employers
Nigel Pearson has returned to club management with Belgian second division club OH Leuven, who share the same King Power International Group owners as Leicester.
Pearson was sacked at Leicester in June 2015 just weeks after masterminding an unlikely escape from relegation.
Following an ill-fated spell at Derby last year, he will now once again work alongside the Srivaddhanaprabha family after being appointed to replace Dennis van Wijk.
● Bayern Munich were held at home last night as Wolfsburg came from two goals behind to snatch a point against Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring with a penalty and Arjen Robben made it 2-0 before half-time.
Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich gave the visitors hope when he fumbled Maxi Arnold’s free-kick into the net before Daniel Didavi headed in a late equaliser as Bayern stayed second.
● Mario Balotelli scored from the spot as Nice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Angers in Ligue 1.
Les Aiglons came into the game having won three and lost three in the league and their inconsistencies were apparent again as they went 2-0 down inside 34 minutes.
Italy forward Balotelli’s spot-kick reduced the deficit before half-time and an Ismael Traore own goal saw Nice equalise in 89 minutes.
● Monaco won 4-0 at Lille, with Radamel Falcao netting twice.
