Caledonian Marts Ltd at Stirling sold 2,888 breeding sheep at their annual sale of cast blackface ewes.

Top price went to I Hunter, Dalchirla with eight blackface gimmers at £220.

1,692 blackface ewes ave £38.88 (-£24.28 on the year), selling to a top of £60 from A Malcolm & Son, Cromlix and K& A Graham, Easterton.

345 blackface gimmers ave £81.63 (-£11.51 on the year), selling to a top of £220 from Dalchirla. 569 cross ewes ave £55.05 (-£16.79 on the year), selling to a top of £80 from Easterton for a pen of mule ewes (3 crop). 200 cross gimmers ave £100.77 (-£18.82 on the year) selling to a top of £125 for a pen of chev mules from Sunnybraes. 20 Swaledale shearlings ave £113.08 (-£109.00 on the year) selling to £380 from Stennerskeugh.
