WEDDING FLOWERS Perth Flower Club’s next meeting, in the Grampian Hotel next Monday at 7.30pm, has a wedding theme.

Demonstrat­ions will be given before members and visitors are invited to have a go.

TAY BRIDGE TALK

The first meeting of Coupar Angus and District Heritage Associatio­n will be on Friday at 7.30pm in St Anne’s Church Hall.

Guest speaker Murray Nicoll will talk on the Tay Bridge Disaster.

ART EXHIBITION Crieff’s 50+ art society holds its annual exhibition and coffee morning next Tuesday at the bowling club on Coldwells Road, starting at 10am.

There will be a wide range of original paintings and cards available and fundraisin­g in support of the Maggie’s Centre in Dundee.

FRENCH SONG Glenfarg Folk Club’s next meeting takes place at Backstage at the Green Hotel in Kinross on Monday October 16 at 7.30pm.

Entertainm­ent comes courtesy of Christine Bovill whose show celebrates the golden age of French song.

V&A MUSEUM

The National Trust’s Perth and Kinross Members’ Group holds its first talk of the new season which takes place in the AK Bell Library’s William Soutar Theatre on Thursday October 12 at 7.30pm.

Sarah Saunders, director of learning at V&A Museum of Design Dundee, will give a talk on the museum.

TRY TAI CHI

Older people in Perth are invited to try the Chinese exercise tai chi for the first time on Wednesday October 11 at St Matthew’s Church Hall, Tay Street, from 2pm to 4pm.

The free event is being organised by the Royal Voluntary Service and local tai chi teacher Alexander Chan will lead the session.
